Weekly Checklist for Assignments
Parents, you may use this checklist to check in with your child if they have finished all of their assignments due each day. These assignments should not be completed ahead of time, but during the time your child is being taught the subject. 


** Majority of assignments will be completed in Google Classrooms. All assignments on Google Classrooms have an icon of a clipboard. **


Week of September 21 - September 25 Assignments

Monday
Reading - Read nonfiction book selected on Epic! during reading and write in reading notebook what they are learning; 3-2-1 Nonfiction Activity Google Slide 
Writing - Write for 30 minutes on the Writing Digital Notebook. 
Grammar - Notebook work during Zoom 
Spelling - Copy your spelling words into your agenda
Social Studies - Google Classroom Questions: 1. Why were the British marching to the towns of Lexington and Concord? 2. What was Paul Revere's role?

Math - Pg. 177- 178 #1-14 and The Jungle Joker Clue #1
Science - Anchoring Phenomena



Tuesday
Reading - Continue to read the same nonfiction book on Epic! and write down any parts that did not make sense and try to make sense of it in their reading notebook using the 5W strategy.
Writing - Write for 30 minutes on the Writing Digital Notebook.
Grammar -  Notebook during Zoom 
Spelling - Long e Sort Activity 

Social Studies - Google Classroom Question: How did geography impact the colonists’ victory and the British defeat?
Math - The Jungle Joker Clue #2 and pg. 184 #1-4
Science - Gravity Independent Practice



Wednesday

Reading - Continue to read the nonfiction book on Epic! rereading with a question in mind; Google Classroom Question: What question did you ask yourself to keep yourself on track with your reading?
Writing - Write for 35 minutes on the Writing Digital Notebook and add specific details. 

Grammar - Notebook work during Zoom
Spelling - Long e Sort Activity due today
Social Studies - Continental Soldier Winter at Valley Forge Sensory Figure
Math - The Jungle Joker #3 and pg. 185-187 #1-3
Science - Gravity EdPuzzle


Thursday
Reading - Continue to read the nonfiction book on Epic! and determine meaning of unfamiliar words; Google Classroom Question: Write a word from the nonfiction book you are reading. Write the meaning of the word and tell what words or visuals helped you determine the meaning.
Writing - Write a bold beginning and great good-bye for your writing in your Writing Digital Notebook. 
Grammar - Notebook work during Zoom

Spelling - Fancy Fonts
Social Studies - Write the five most important events of the article in sequence in the Siege of Yorktown.
Math - The Jungle Joker #4 and 5
Science - Gravity 
Web quest


Friday
 - Finish all missing or incomplete work. Click on your To Do list and then missing. 

Reading - IXL Assignment - 7TG - O.1 Read passages about animals 
Writing - Revise and edit your writing on your Writing Digital Notebook. Turn in the final draft.

Spelling - Fancy Fonts due today
Social Studies - Social Studies workbook pages 43, 44, 46, and 48 (Answers will be reviewed on Monday or Tuesday during Zoom)
Math - Chapter 3 Math Test
Science - Gravity Web quest
