Reading/ Writing –

Students will read the Walking Tall.pdf and answer the 10 questions located after the passage. (Underline the evidence in the passage)

Students will find the main idea each section (four sections) and find 2-3 supporting details .

 

Example- Section 1

Main Idea-(What is the section mainly about?)  Ruby Bridges’ first day of school.

Supporting Details-

-          Soon, four United States federal court marshals, or officers, arrived at the Bridges family home in New Orleans, Louisiana to drive the first grader to William Frantz Public School.

-          A screaming mob was waiting.

-          People stood near the building shouting.

-          With the marshals surrounding her, the 6-year-old walked into the school

 

Social Studies-

Student will complete pages 67-69 in their SS workbook and the Branches of Government.pdf page attached.

Math

Students will go on 
ConnectEd https://connected.mcgraw-hill.com/connected/login.do and complete assignments titled Chapter 10.3 Part 1 and Chapter 10.3 Part 2. There is no paper to turn in or print out. There are several tutorial video on ConnectED to help students understand the lesson better. Students will have to 2 chances to complete each assignments to get a better grade. 


Science

Students need to go to http://www.stemscopes.com/ and complete the Reading Science from 4E1B Attributes of Stars assignment.

I hope you are staying warm. Due to the weather, students will need to complete these activities for the inclement weather day.

Social Studies - Student Choice Board for the Branches of Government.pdf - Select 2 of the 5 choices and complete.


 Reading/ Writing –

Students will read the The Ever-Changing Sky.pdf and answer the 10 questions located after the passage. (Underline the evidence in the passage)

Students will read the Government Responsibility.pdf passages and answer the five questions located at the end of the passages.  (Write in complete sentences using evidence from the text)

Extra practice- Students can complete any incomplete FrontRowEd.com assignments.

*The class code for Ms. Youngblood’s homeroom is RABRYG and the code for Ms. Nguyen’s homeroom is 6EQ5ES *



Math:

Students needs to complete Chapter 10.1 Review and Chapter 10.2 Review on ConnectEd.  Students will have to 2 chances to complete each assignments to get a better grade. 

Science:

Students needs to complete three assignments on STEMscopes.
